Any 357sig shooters?

About to test my 357sig project. I was running some #s through QL & found that i should be able to push the 115g HP to over 2000fps from a 16" tube.
I picked up some Win 125FMJ to test it with. Any sig reloaders with tips for this one? The neck is real short & that is a small bullet. Thanks

Dang...isn't the .357 SIG already an impressive penetrator for a centerfire pistol round?

Must be crazy out of the rifle barrel.

The sig "almost" matches the performance of the .357 mag which was the reason for bringing out the cartridge in the first place. As far as 2000 fps, some WW296/H110 .357 mag loads with a 125g bullet do that out of a handgun according to the loading data.

Which brings us around to the M-1 Carbine. Again, about the same ballistics (check energy figures) as a .357 handgun. But some folks tell you the .30 carbine round is underpowered....while praising the .357 mag... -but you've have your 115g bullet at 2000 fps since WWII. Stopping power may not be great with a FMJ, but I shoot soft points.

Well, I can say the 357sig recoils less than the Tok! The WWB 125TC ran just over 1600fps from a 16" tube. I ran just over 80rnds with no failures of any kind.A friend had a lone wolf glock mag lower & with a moded carrier(to fit in the glock mag) & it also fed my DI40S&W without issue.

Lone Wolf makes a glock mag lower. 9mm/40S&W
The mod to carrier is the forward 1" on the underside. The part that passes through the mag. Since the mag is in the forward pos only need to do the forward first 1". Need to mill down a couple thous off each side to work with mag.

LaRue, Penetration Tests? =D What are you looking for? You push the little 9mm bullet faster penetration goes down reducing the risk of overpenetration.
