    Default Broken extractor pin...common?....PIC

    After sending 300 or so rounds down range the extractor pin broke in my 7.62x25mm AR15.

    I remember hearing about one breaking in an Oly arms rifle one time, could have just been a bad part, maybe too hard and brittle.

    I've seen some weird failures but I haven't seen one of those. Is it a standard pin or one you had to fabricate?

    It was a standard RRA pin.

    I'd guess poor quality. I had an RRA trigger pin break in half as well.

    Now that's one I have seen before. It was from a DPMS kit though.
