Thread: Looking to make the first change to my 6920 since I set it up. want y'alls opinions

I'm looking to turn my Colt 6920 into a dissipator.16inch barrel carbine gas system as current with the current front sight move to rifle length and a low profile gas block installed at the previous position.

This image I worked up shows the colt as currently configured on top and upside down lined up with the dissy concept below


and incase anyone doesn't understand the gas system set up

I like it.

I gotta ask....why? why not convert over to the rifle or mid length gas to get the advantages of it. rather than just doing something for looks? also why not go with a good rail and put a rail mount FS?

Probably because he could keep the same barrel. I love the Dissy guns for a purely iron sighted gun, and they do have a really nice look.

i can keep the same barrel which is kinda the main thing and rifle length gas systems on a 16 inch barrel tend to have issues and it's pretty much and conveniently the standard set up for a Dissy.

well I got the parts ordered. The should all ship out in the morning and I got Chris and his crew on standby
