This knives's overall length is 7.13 inches, closed is 4.17 inches, and the blade is 2.99 inches according to Gerber's specs. Blade Material is an unspecified high carbon stainless steel, and the handle is glass filled nylon. the blade style is a drop point and it comes plain edge and partially serrated. I got the serrated. This knife is an assisted opening knife like the last one i reviewed.
And since people i meet think they're auto's I'll explain it short and sweet. You still have to open the blade by pushing on a tumb stud or some exposed part of the blade, it just makes it easier, auto's open themselves by you pushing on a button.
Let's start with pros...yeah...So on the plus side this knife is inexpensive at around $30 just like the last knife I reviewed, the Kershaw Leek. It is widely available. You can find it at Walmart, Cabelas, and other places I don't need to name...Walmart's every where so that's enough of that. If you want to jump in the assisted opening game with out spending some money for a Benchmade than this is an option.....and that's pretty much the pros.
Cons...nonreversible clip. I know a lot of people don't care, normally I'm picky about that, but mine came ready for tip up carry. So the tip down crowd won't be happy. My two biggest issues with the knife are these, the steel and the locking mechanism. The Steel is too soft. I didn't do anything more abusive with it than any other knife I've ever owned and rolled the edge before the end of the first week, the edge was unimpressive out of the box and was complete crap after a week of opening mail, boxes, and other menial every day tasks. The locking mechanism is trash. some knives you can glue the lock and it never bother you again. you need this one to release the blade and fold it again.from the one I own and the three that I played with other people I've know had. all four, if you give it a shake the lock wiggles and slides freely. So it will lock it's self regularly. It's an unneeded annoyance.
The main theme of this is...I don't recommend this knife to any one except people I'd like to see frustrated like Osama, Obama, and my 11th grade English Teacher. There are better options. If you're at Wally World and have to blow around $30 on a knife, get a Kershaw Leek or Skyline.
