Thread: Bowhunting next weekend.

Who is going and where? I'm prolly gonna go up to Clyo and try to stick one. What type of bow ya'll gonna be shooting? I'm gonna shoot my browning Illusion again this year.

sat morning ill be behind the house with the 2008 51@28" rose oak custom recurve.

sun and mon ill be at rich mountain wma to kill a 7 point I have on camera with my hoyt katera xl.

then I will be going to carters to kill a bear.

I hope....

Not gonna bow hunt this year didn't get a bow so as to practice and besides I love them Recurves....Caleb I would use that recurve on all my hunts

like a dumbass I sold my recurve. I hope you get a bear. I've been wanting to get one and have not had the chance. I don't know the area up there well enough

What's up, no kills for the past 2 weekends?

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't even been yet.

Sun sept 13th - second day of deer/bear archery:

Saw 6 people with high powered rifles and heard 9 gun shots. Got down early to call the GW and they never responded.

Mon sept 14th - sat the 19th:

NON STOP RAIN!! Im okay with hunting in rain but come on! Flood watches at our mountain and 20 homes were evacuated do to flash flooding.

Sun the 20th:

Got in the stand early. was going to sit daylight to dark. After 3 GIANT storms I got down when the lightning got so bad it was hurting my ears.

And today rain rain rain rain, hasnt stopped and it aint gonna!

So all in all I have actually hunted for 8 hours this year combined.

O' and I will need a damm ark to even get anywhere after today!!!!
