How did yall's opening day go?

I got this buck around 8AM. He was chasing a doe around and never knew I was there.

Hit a doe in the upper leg (could tell by the hunk of bone left behind), tracked her about 400 yards through scrub, brier, and over a creek. Blood trail the whole way, but she is gone. I hate I injured her and didn't find her. Hope she survives to get hunted another day.

Saw a massive buck, but no shot.

I had a great tracker helping out. The blood trail was showing us she wasn't giving up. Had she been an award winning buck, that would be a different story.
