got a millet DMS 1-4x. will bring it this weekend.

what I have found out for 1-4x is that 1x isn't like a real red dot, you are still looking through a tube, and the 4x isn't really enough magnification.

I took my 3x aimpoint wanting to mount it in front of the scope hoping to get a 3x4 magnification....it didn't work. I need to find a riser for the aimpoint!

I got a Leupold 1-3x on one of mine and love it. I shoot 2-3 inch groups at 200 and was nailing a 2'x2' steel plate every round at 400 yards last summer. It is really good for 200 and under, if I need to shoot past that I'll get the .308 out. I saw one of those Millet's last Sunday and it's a pretty sweet optic.

the millet is good for a $200 scope, but it is very big and heavy.

its got a 1moa donut dot and from a rest it will keep all the holes under 1". for any precision shoot or distance it wouldnt be very good. hunting should be (I hope!) just fine with it.

I would love to have a night force, leupold, or the schmidtt and bender one I saw the other day, but those cost more than my entire collection....

there is also a bushnell that seems descent, uses their PEPR mount. also midway had them pretty discounted a while back. not sure if it's still going on.

I just ordered a Weaver 4 x 28 mm for my CZ455 American. It's a rimfire scope, don't know if that matters to you, but once I get it on and off to the range I'll post how it works. It was only $120.

I was needing one for a centerfire rifle, but it may be awhile before I can buy one.

I would still like to see your review on the Weaver 4x28. I have a few rimfires that could use a scope.

Will do. I was hoping not to blow the bank on optics. Hopefully it'll work out alright.
