Default Conditioning Our Bodies For Shooting Stress

    Here's one approach:

    Functional Training For Shooters

Another I've heard mentioned involves have a friend spritz water from a spray bottle on the back of your head while you're shooting...anything to try and break your mental cycle so that you keep on your toes.

My friend runs a lot of three gun shoots out west and adopted a similar training program. Always wanted to do it, but I just don't have a place to practice like this.

Here's an older video of one of his shoots:

He lost a lot of weight in the process and the training seems to work.

As a former professional fighter, I can tell you TRAINING for a fight was much more difficult than ANY fight ever was. As a firearms instructor and competitor, I have always looked for an edge for my students and myself. I wrote a manual that was specifically aimed at training for shooters. I believe it was Coach Bobby Knight that said, "Everybody wants to be #1 but very few want to trainin to be #1."
Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

Yeah...I hear that. One of those body builder types said "Everyone wants to be a body builder but nobody wants to lift some heavy @$$ weights."

So....where do I find this manual?
