How do ya'll feel about Nick's Guns?

The place used to be Ed's guns and the place is littered with rumors of their bad service and horrible employees. I think it got so bad that they actually threatened to sue at one point.

Now, last Saturday was my 18th birthday and I decided to take myself to their range to shoot my AR. They couldn't be nicer to me....though I was nice to them up front. I didn't catch a hint of bad service or people not liking me. I asked the big man who seemed to be in charge about optics and shotguns and he treated me pretty equal, talked like he'd changed my diaper from birth.

I did notice they got pretty mad at one customer, but it seemed like the guy was refusing their multiple requests for him to lower his target so he wouldn't damage their equipment so he deserved it in my book.

How have you guys dealt with this establishment?

I just can't see where all the horror stories come from.

PS: Yes the range is dirty....who cares...free brass.

Are you talking about Ed's Guns and Tackle off Hwy 5 in Marietta? Haven't been there in 17 or 18 years... bought a couple guns there, used to shoot in the evening centerfire and rimfire pistol leagues. I always liked the place, but a LOT can happen in nearly 2 decades!!!

+1. Never visited them. If you dig em it's all good right? The only range around me is the soybean field next door. I will have live targets soon.

Yep, good deal you got there.

Nick's is closest to my home. $15 per 30 min on the rifle range, which beats the gas it would take me to get to Creekside.

With my Mil ID that turns into $8.

How far are you from the range here? Advanced Bullets - Temple, GA

It's $5/hr non members, and with a $40 yearly family membership it's $2.50/hr

No rapid fire, no double taps. handguns at 10 meter & 25 meter only. Have 50 meter and 100 meter for rifle, but you can shoot at the shorter distances also. Trap, and a nice sporting clays course too. Might be worth a trip for you some time.
