Thread: Coke Bottle Mead

Just filtered the mead I made two weeks ago. It tastes pretty good now! I transferred the liquid into another 2 liter coke bottle and sealed this one off (during the making process I used a balloon as an airlock. Hopefully the yeast still has some got-up-and-go so I can get some fizz in the drink. Prolly two weeks to settle in the fridge and I'll have to give it a try! It is pretty cloudy right now, but I would expect that. It should clear fairly quickly.

Kinda sweet and yeasty. Not as sweet as you'd think, and the yeasty taste will go away later. Can't say as I know how to do this, just kinda feeling my way along...

Looks good man! I haven't made any home brew in a few years. The last time i did it turned out tasting like... well i will leave it to your imagination. It was not very good.

I used to brew quite a bit of beer long ago. Don't have any of the supplies anymore though.

I've considered home brew. Now I'd be more likely to try to make some wine. I get Miller High Life for about $15 for a 30-pack. 50 cents a can is hard to beat.
