Anyway, I went to Dick's on Saturday with a gift card ($25) I got for for Xmas last year. Finally got a chance to spend it. I don't usually go there because they really don't carry much I'm interested in. They had a Simmons Blazer 20-60X60 spotting scope on sale for $59.98 down from $89.99. Not a bad price, and I could use one as I don't have one. Ain't the best, but better than what I have.
So anyway, They gave me the sales price, which was supposed to be with a mail in rebate, at the register. The salesman knew he was doing it too. Then, he gave me a $25 mail in rebate form as well. So, for a $89.99 scope, when you count in the $25 dollar gift certificate I had and tax, I paid $13.58 for the scope. Not too bad! Came with a tripod as well. Not bad optics. Looked at Jupiter with it and saw the moons and banding on the planet. Took it to the Range Sunday and today and worked well enough!
($142 on this website, about $65 at Walmart)
