Thread: My Veterans Day Photos (Lots of photos)

While they are loading I wanted to share what a Chaplain Rabbi said to us during the ceremonies.

I can't remember the speech completely so I won't try to replicate it. But what he said praised a military for its existence. He addressed those who shun the military or often wonder what it would be like without a military.

He then reminded us that Veteran's day was right after the Night of the Crystal (the night of shattered/broken glass) where people's businesses and homes were destroyed in the most malignant ways. He reminded us that these crimes were allowed to take place against the Jewish community because the police and military had been commanded to stand down.

So we already know what happens to people when there is no law enforcement and there is no military around..... Not something we want repeated.

Can't remember while we were standing...I think for the Army Song. Sad thing is that I'm the ONLY cadet that was in formation that knows the Army Song ..................punks

General Nuttal came up to speak. He had white stuff on his face all day, but given his name and rank....no one dared to tell him. He kept joking about how he brought the good weather with him.



We gave him the ultimate gift.....a picture of us.....
