RC Helo
Well, my e-flite Blade 400 last flew in Mosul in '07. When I got to Baghdad I finally got in the new servos I had ordered (trashed the others...you know how long it is to get parts in Iraq! No hobby shops to be found anywhere!
). Replaced the servos and did a test fire in my trailer. BAD BAD idea. It lit up full power and I couldn't get it to stop. Luckily it didn't take off, but I couldn't get throttle cut to work, or stop it in any way other than throw a shoe into the blades. It stopped alright, but the head was trashed.
Since e-flite is notorious for not having parts in stock, and I was overseas, it sat in a box until this weekend. I finally got the parts I needed (or so I thought) and got the head back together. Discovered the tail rotor shaft was bent as well, that was an easy order but now I have to wait. Well, anyway, hopefully I'll test fly start it next weekend. I've got to make sure the head is aligned, but I think I'm going to ask a smart helo guy to check it before I start the learning process myself again.
Here it is destroyed...

And risen from the dead!
