I saw that earlier. What a crock of shit. Is it time to bring the Mason-Dixon line back yet? The only way I can see our future ending up is with the United Socialist States of America up North and the good ole US of A down here. The divide keeps getting wider and there ain't no bringing it back together again. It's goofy shit like this that makes me hate 52% of Americans.

I'm sure I'm not going to make any friends here by saying this, but I think it's worth mentioning.

While I agree that it's pretty dumb to restrict what can be said at military funerals I think it's also important to not go too far the other way. Rep Culberson said, “We’re going to fix this so that no Obama liberal bureaucrat will interfere with the funeral of a hero.” and while I agree with that to an extent, it's important to keep in mind who's funeral it is. I personally think that no one other than the family of the fallen solider has any say in what is or isn't said in the funeral. If they want to say God, Jesus, Xanu, Allah, The Fonz, or the small purple beings who live inside and control the Romney-bot, they should be able to. It's not up to me or you; liberals or conservatives, to tell someone how to conduct a funeral, its solely up to the grieving families.

Call me crazy but I don't think the government has any right to be involved in any funerals what so ever.
