I got the deployment date. October 9th I go to CRC for 5 days then I'll get on a charter plane to head to A'stan.

I got the location I'll be working in A'stan last week. Still waiting for the gubberment to clear the red tape and get us thru CRC in Atterbury.

Best of luck to you man. Hate to say it, but take away the bullets whizzing by, mortars, RPG's, haji's and the heat, it looks like fun. (for a couple weeks maybe).

Just do your job over there, don't let the shit get you down and the time will fly by. Do you get to take a laptop? What about internet service? Facebook and Skype will be your best friends over there for keeping in touch with family.

Do what you gotta do to get the check, make contacts and network and be ready to kill any squirreley fucker that comes near you. What are you gonna be doing by the way?

There was a massive build up over the past 2 years. The video was done in 2009. I'll be taking the lap top and there is pretty good internet so I can stay in touch with family and here on the boards. Hopefully I can get some good pictures and possibly videos to share too.
