Default My next project: food related

Gonna make cheese. The only problem I'm finding is all of the milk I've seen in the area is dead milk. Meaning, it is pasteurized at so high a temperature that anything good about the milk is cooked out. Of course, that means it can stay on the shelf longer, but really doesn't have many health benefits. (FAQ-Cheesemaking and Milk) Of course, in the state of Georgia, it is illegal to sell raw milk, except for pets, so not many options left. I need to find a source of good milk!

I used to know some people who had the connect on some raw milk. If you'd like i can try and hunt them down.

Sorry, I couldn't get a hold of my friend. I did find this link however: Where Can I Find Real (Raw) Milk?

You might just have to buy the milk labeled for pet consumption. It's ridiculous that raw milk is illegal. What's even more scary is the idea of regulating sugar like we regulate alcohol and tobacco.

Keep us posted on your cheese making adventure!

I've looked at that site. None are close to me. I'm taking a trip to https://sites.google.com/site/bossbr...ntrystore/home tomorrow. I hear they have milk.

Anywhere from a couple of hours to several months to years. I'll start easy though. I want to make some mozzarella.
