Thread: I think the neighbors think I'm a nut

I love my neighbors..... (I'm in a tightly packed subdivision) EXCEPT two different neighbors across the street think reving your engine on any vehicle is a manly thing to do.... And mufflers and baffles in 2-stroke motorcycles are to be discarded. And that riding around and around the house for hours with your kids 50cc mini-motorcycle at full revs is fun. And that riding your 4-wheeler at highway speeds illegally on the street is okay. And that you are not a real man unless you immediately remove the mufflers from your truck and put on loud glass-packs.

All of this is fine with me IF YOU LIVE OUT IN THE COUNTRY. But in my subdivision, it is a real PITA. Here in my world I wish they would STFU and be a bit more cognizant of the neighbors. Silence is Golden. Your noise is trespassing on my ears.

Sounds like my apartment complex. When I moved here I said "Awesome, I get the corner unit, extra windows in the master bedroom" but I did not take into consideration at the time the lack of sound dampening on the second story, corner unit, facing a busy road. I can identify the type of car that drives by in the morning and at night. Lawn care days are the worst, nothing like getting ready for the day with the constant drone of two stroke engines. That's why we live in the country. We don't have to put up with all the bullcrap.
