Default Danger Close Knows No Atheists aka how the M&P9 met Mr. Wood Burner...

My lens turned out to be dirty so I didn't get the quality pics i usually expect. I apologize in advance for any crappy pics or those who dislike stippling...well too bad

I used two different tips. A wedge for the front of the magwell, the thumb safety, and above the trigger guard, and a soccer ball print looking one for the back strap. I will confess I messed up initially on the back strap. I went for a wood grain look like I've seen multiple times. I liked the design but the wood burner I got was too hot and I didn't anticipate the back strap would melt faster than the frame. I went back over it with the kind of soccer ball tip. you could still see a little bit of the lines and it was really grippy, but i wasn't happy with the looks. So I went over it with the wedge one more time. In person you can see bits of all three levels of effort on the back strap and I'm very happy with the results, especially since this was my first time stippling a pistol.

Looks good man, on the front of the grip, if you stippled under the trigger guard, you might end up sanding that back smooth, I did my M&P45 there, and after a day at the range, I took it back off, lol. Looks really good though, wouldn't have known it was your first time if you wouldn't have told me already.

Yes I did stipple under the trigger guard. at least where the factory texture design was. I relieved the sides a little bit before stippling and it's the same lighter texture that use see at the front. I don't really expect any issues, but I plan on taking a friend to the range tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. I'll probably take a piece of fine grit sand paper incase I need to reduce it.

Pics with macro setting on and I smoothed out under the trigger guard per bgcoop's suggestion

Hell yeah man, looks good, and you'll thank me on the trigger guard thing if you shoot a lot without gloves.

my middle finger is kinda raw where it rubs the trigger guard from hand sewing a few layers of 500 denier cordura and velcro so...so that ended up sealing the deal.

I picked those up off the ground for the pic....I honestly have no idea. none of the brass that I picked up that was definitely from the M&P had those dents.

Oh, good, not your problem then.

I was thinking "Major reaching extractor? What the heck?"
