Were you just up at Southeastern a couple weeks ago picking up that shotgun? If so, then I already saw it. If not, you should send me pictures and a price so it can be a potential option for me.

I love my shotguns - 870 and the 11-87. Any good shotgun (Mossberg, Remington, etc.) will suffice for 'social work'. Semi's are a little bit more finickey because of the ammo and temperature (had one go down last weekend because of temp). There are inexpensive ways to remedy the issues with the semi's though. Pumps digest EVERYTHING with no problems. They are a little slower but that's usually not an issue.

I got a winchester 1300 defender shot it all the time in matches and for the fun of it. hd it for about 14 yrs aint had a problem with it. Nobody like a winchester for some reason

I liked the 1300 I shot although it was a hunting shotgun. I think thier biggest problem is that they are not being made anymore.

FWIW The 1300 is the only shotgun I know of that will cycle the mini-slugs.
