Thread: 401 Issues...

i went Squirrel hunting with my wife's 410 single shot, and the shells wouldnt eject from the barrel. the empty shell just stayed in the barrel!
i am hoping i just need to lube it up.

what kind of bun oil, lube, do you guys reccomend?

do you think that this will fix my problem or is there something i am missing?

Did it used to eject them? Some guns don't eject them out, they only push it out a lil and you have to pull it out.

no this gun is supposed to eject them. it has a 5 round clip that loads the next round. i had to remove the clip and use my knife to remove the shell. it was stuck in the barrel, and did not move at all!!
i tried this 3 times and got the same results.

Sounds like the extractor to me.

ok so i took out the bolt and compared it to the bolt of my .22 Marlin.... here is the pic.....



the .22 is on the left..... notice anything different???

I see no extractor. It should be hanging over that little slot cut in the bolt face.

hmmm. thats what i was afraid of! my wife was given this gun when she was young, and only recently gotten it back from her dad. this is the first time i have fired it, so i didnt know there was a problem until now.

i will have to do some investigating and see what i need to do to get this fixed.

ok so, next problem... are all the 410 extractors the same or are they model specific?

got any suggestions on where i could find one to fit my gun?
