Thread: Benchmade Nimravus Fixed Blade Knife

What do you want to do with the knife? That's the big question.

I've handed the one in the first pic and was less than impressed. I would own one, but I wouldn't spend much on it. I find the blade to be a bit thin for what I want to do with a fixed blade knife. I'm sure it would make an outstanding slicing blade but I doubt it would be very durable for harsher use. If you don't intend to put it through harsher us, it may be outstanding. That's why I ask what you are planning to do with it.

BTW there are a lot of good sheath makers out right now. If your willing to spend a little money you can get a sheath you like for any knife. Don't let the sheath be a deciding factor for you.

Already bought the knife..

So far it's been good with regular rigging work. General MRE use.

Has helped me prepare small game. Has helped do theater work and wire stripping. Has gotten popularity from my fellow cadets. I've cut up rope and stencils from my personal projects. I cut up small kindling and shaved it for a fire.

Haven't cleaved any skulls or jacked any hearts...but I'll let you know how that goes.
