Yeah the RAT-3 is a different brand. Good knife but not on par with the Swamp Rats as far as quality or price.
Randall's Adventure and Training are made by Onterio knives and licensed by Randall (one of the oldest and most respected custom knife makers in the world). I bought my wife a RAT-3 in D2 for her deployment and she says its been great. For a knife in that price range the RAT series is hard to beat. If you are looking at a RAT-5 or RAT-7 I would go with the 1095 steel instead of the D2. For a small slicer D2 is great. Its a little hard to sharpen but holds an edge well. Just FYI the RAT-3 has a very thin grip. If you have big hands it may not be really comfortable to use. On the other hand the thin grips make it easy to carry everyday.
