Just got a Quark R2 as a present for my GF after hearing a lot of good things about their lights. Initially I was impressed with the light, it's nowhere near as sturdy as a Surefire but for the price the quality and features made this seemed like a good choice. My main gripe with the this model is the tail cap. Yes it can tail stand but I found it somewhat difficult to activate. Thankfully this is easily solved with the tactial tail cap, $9. I will wait for her to try it out before I make any changes though. Now to the bad, it partially quit working after playing with it for 5 minutes. To activate the different modes you have to loosen the bezel half a turn to allow the switch to select the mode you want. For some reason this doesn't work, though it still operates on high and strobe which is activated by pressing the switch again while on high.
So, I called 4Sevens who are based in Tucker btw and they had me check a few things then said well, we'll send you a new one just put the old one in the mail back to us. Within an hour I received an email with a tracking number. I have to say their customer service is certainly on par with Surefire.
